Urdu Ka Irtaqa (Evolution of Urdu) basically was a research work (Thesis) on the evolution and development of urdu language and literatur by Shagufta Zakria to get her Masters Degree (M.A Urdu). It was a hard work as she wrote in the preface of the book. The first chapter consists of two portions, Dakkani Nasar & Shumali Hindi ki Nasar Fort Willam College se Pahlay. 2nd chapter is about nasar (prose) of Fort Willam College. 3rd chapter covers the urdu prose outside of the fort william college, 4th chapter is about the services of Dilli College about urdu prose. 5th chapter is based on Ghalib ke khutoot and initial prose work of Sir Syed. We hope our valued readers will find this book very interesting as well as very useful for the urdu literature and langauge students.
