Devta Novel Part 1 by Mohiuddin Nawab is perhaps the most famous novel of Urdu Fiction. Devta is the fictional autobiography of Farhad Ali Taimoor, a man who gained amazing telepathic powers. The title of the story is given as 'Devta' arising from Hindi language which stands for 'god' or deity by the Hindu religion. He is described as Devta because of his mind control powers gained through telepathy. Devta is also referred to as Alif Laila of Urdu Langauge. It has so many interesting characters, situations, heroes and villains with super human powers and strength. Devta was published in digest continuedly for more than 34 years from 1977 to 2010. Devta was a serialized fantasy thriller novel written in the Urdu language by Mohiuddin Nawab. Spanning over 56 volumes and 20 million words, Devta is the longest continuously-published story on record. Ilm o Irfan Publishers, Lahore obtained Devta publishing rights in 2015 and brought 30 parts in book form. The author Mohiuddin Nawab, a well-known social story writer of Pakistan, has written more than 500 stories, both short stories and novel-length, mostly published in Suspense Digest. He has also written screenplays for film and television.
